In Tower of Fantasy, fully completing a chapter will grant players various rewards including gold, level-up material, pulls for the permanent gacha, and dark crystals (the game’s premium currency).

Introduction

However, in order for the player to earn these rewards, there are a few mandatory side quests in each chapter. Some of these, though, are hidden, making it hard for players to finish a chapter if they don’t know where to look.

Snowfield Expedition

One of these mandatory hidden quests is called Snowfield Expedition, and fulfilling it is required to complete the 5th chapter of the Aesperia region in Tower of Fantasy. The Snowfield Expedition quests include a lot of back-and-forth traversing of the Warren Snowfield, which is the Northernmost section of Aesperia.

Locating the Snowfield Expedition Quest

To begin the Snowfield Expedition quest, speak to an NPC named Conan located in the Warren Shelter. As this quest is initially unmarked, there is no indication that Conan has anything important for the player. For players who are more comfortable using coordinates to navigate the Tower of Fantasy map, Conan can be found at (985.0, 61.6), standing behind a counter in the shelter next to a large stationary truck. Conan will give the player a quest initially labeled “Find amplifier.” Do not worry, as this is the first step of the correct quest.

Finding the Amplifiers

This portion of the quest is extremely simple as it is no longer unmarked. All three amplifiers will be marked on the map. Players simply need to make their way to each of the transponders and interact to “recycle” them, gaining their amplifier in the process. In case the quest doesn’t appear as it should, or if having an external map is easier for the player, the locations can be referenced in the image above. The fastest method of reaching these amplifiers is via the teleport locations at Warren Snow Peak Spacerift and the Saag Passage Spacerift. Once the player has collected all the amplifiers, head back to the Saag Passage Spacerift and follow the objective to set down the amplifiers at (416.4, -629.8).

Finding the Three Books

With the amplifiers taken care of, the next step in the Snowfield Expedition quest is to locate three books around Warren Snowfield. The first is located just Northeast of the Warren Snow Peak Spacerift, under a large wind turbine-looking thing floating on a chunk of ice. This location can be seen from the teleport, so head over there via jetboard (or whatever means) and interact with the book lying in front of the turbine.

To find the second book, teleport again to the Warren Snow Peak Spacerift. To the slight Northwest of the teleport location is a natural formation that looks like a bridge, and under it is a small stronghold. Head to the small stronghold, and clear the enemies out of this location. The book is located right next to the wreckage in this stronghold.

For the third and final book, teleport to the Warren Snow Peak Spacerift again. Fortunately, this book is very quick to find and will require minimal effort. Directly to the west of the teleport location is a dandelion plant, and directly next to the plant is the final book.

Finding Captain Simon

Once the player has collected all three books, the remainder of the quest is straightforward and marked at all times. Players will need to find Captain Simon, who is pretty close by at the coordinates (924.5, -636.7). Simon will send players to clear out a nearby camp and defeat some enemies. The quest will be completed upon returning to him after finishing that task.

Conclusion

Assuming the rest of the chapter was already completed by this point, Chapter 5 of the Aesperia region will now be complete, and the player will be awarded for their efforts. Tower of Fantasy is now available for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices.
